Gear up for Ramadan

Comments

Ramadan is slated to begin on Monday, August 1, Insh’Allah.

We will have Iftaar meals every evening at the new Masjid. If you would like to bring food for your fasting brothers and sisters on a certain day, please contact Br. Asif Tai at (832) 275-1506. Here is the Ramadan schedule with times to begin and end the fast.

The reward for feeding a fasting person during Ramadan is tremendous. As the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of his reward (i.e. the one fasting), so preparing food in this month for the needy is from the best of actions because (the reward for giving) charity in the month of Ramadhaan is multiplied more than in the other months.”

Also, Br. Ramadhan Washington has been gracious enough to deliver Friday Khutbahs continuously for the past several Jum’ahs. If you would like to be added to the Khateeb schedule, please contact Br. Ramadhan at (816) 387-9598. Let’s share the tremendous pre-work involved with giving a Khutbah and share the knowledge we possess with one another.
